About Phantom Forces:
After buying this game and playing it to (as of now) full 100% completion I feel that I can give an accurate and informed review so here’s my take. The game is played with extremely barebones story content, if you wanted to purchase for that it is not recommended but the 1.0 release should expand on it a little bit. However do note that the meat and potatoes of the game is in replaying temples, every bit of content outside of the temples is accomplished through the temples. You play and level up gaining more whips over time, you’ll start each temple with 1hp and will scale up as you collect essence from phantoms. Each area consists of 4 levels, you only need to pass 3 and at the end of the 3rd you’re able to enter into the next area or go to the 4th level and unlock a relic for the respective area you are in. Choosing to progress to the next area will bring with it a host of new challenges and obstacles but are very much worth doing, all of them feel unique enough from one another that you can be assured you won’t see samey content throughout. Of course you will still encounter spike traps and the like even late game but the room layouts will all be different, reusing traps in new creative ways is always a plus in my books. The depths of this game go deeper than what the screenshots and videos on the store page show.
