About Apeirophobia:
Played the first chapter so far. Controls are a little weird at first, since you have WASD for movement, and the mouse aims your attacks. It takes a bit to get comfortable with movement/acceleration, dealing with new enemy types (bomb types for me), and sometimes you have some weird angles/corridors to maneuver through. It feels like an insanely polished flash game. Not in a bad way. Style points all the way. This game is a short experience, like Untitled Goose Game, but probably more replayability since it has arcade-y gameplay. After finishing this game, there are some takeaways. The game is incredibly short. The game is much worse on mnk than on controller (I had to play on both when my controller died). With that said, the game is incredibly fun. Each level adds new and fun mechanics. The game feels super intuitive on controller. You can take 3 hits until you die. Slamming people into walls feels super fun and the game is fast and simple, but also takes a bit of a slower approach with how vulnerable you are. Overall, a great indie game, but just a bit short.I finished Ape Out this morning. The style is incredible. That said, it lasted an hour and a half and I was tired of the gameplay about halfway through. That’s reflected in the price, but I was really hoping for it to be more fun to play. I found the level design to be frustrating pretty often as you’re heavily disincentivized from carrying enemies around (makes you REALLY slow,
